Ea’s own swatches can vary from hair to hair.
Inconsistencies between hairs are to be expected. All these swatches will come down pretty far so if you have the screen space it might be nice to extend the ui. I recommend getting the multi-column mod for create-a-sim. Idk how to texture reference things, sorry. It’s almost 16gb total for all expansions, stuff packs and game packs. I recommend using WMS accessory overlays. I did not make overlays for the elastics, headbands or other hair accessories. Feel free to move them to other categories with s4studio. They’re found in Accessories and have Thumbnails. I made overlays for things like the cats & dogs two tone hair, the dreads from discover university and the braids from realm of magic. The swatches might get jumbled if you use other palettes. You will need the original meshes for everything. Mostly Ah00b’s hairs, but also praline’s mm eyebrows and some misc hairlines. Idk if anyone else uses this palette anymore, but just in case. I have also recolored some CC for my own game. I got it down to 9 merged files in my own folders. You can also merge even further, but note Sims 4 Studio only merges up to 2gb. If you want to unmerge these files you can with s4studio. Base game is merged by age and gender due to file size. These are only additional swatches.įiles are merged by pack. This does not include the new swatches Momo has added to their V2 palette, nor will it ever. This person does retextures of clay hairs, and I think they retextured some base game hairs as well but I'm not sure. This tumblr user does retextures of base game hairs as well, so check them out and see if you like any of them. I linked you straight to her hair category in her downloads, so you can browse through and choose if you want her edits or recolors. She has some mesh edits on her tumblr, as well as recolors of base game hairs. I think this is just ONE hair recolored in a bunch of different colors, but it's still pretty, and the textures look really nice. 
This is also great to have, if you just want a wider selection of colors for your base game hairs. This is just one single color, recolored for EVERY base hair in the game. You can click on her downloads link and she has everything organized quite well. I'm not gonna link you to any specific hairs.
I go to her quite often for retextures/recolors of any hairs I happen to like. She retextures both alpha and ea hairs often, and her colors are always super great.
